Rob and Christi| Boise Train Depot

Last weekend I photographed the most beautiful wedding at the Boise Train Depot. Christi and Rob’s Boise Depot Wedding was on the most gorgeous June summer day in Boise, Idaho. The morning and early afternoon started off with rain, but the rain cleared and the weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor Boise Depot Wedding.
I met Christi and Rob for the first time last fall during their Katherine Albertsons Park engagement session. I loved chatting with Rob and Christi about their upcoming Depot Wedding. I knew their Boise Depot wedding would be a joy to plan.
They met in college 13 years ago and have dated for the last 5 wonderful years.
Rob planned a surprise hiking adventure in the Columbia River Gorge that Christi will always remember. Rob and Christi hiked to 10 different water falls. Once the two made the trek to the top of Multnomah Falls Rob asked Christi to be his wife!
The Boise Depot is one of my favorite wedding venues in Boise! From the beautiful historic Spanish-style structure, breathtaking views of the capitol, the bell tower and the Boise front what isn’t to love about the Boise Depot?
The Depot features the Great Hall that once served as the building's waiting room. Rob and Christi’s wedding reception was held in the Great Hall. The beautiful table settings included fine china, some of which Christi’s grandmother gifted to Christi and her siblings. The center pieces included hanging baskets that Rob and Christi gave away to wedding guests.
The original 1925 Barkalow Brothers Newsstand is featured on the west wall and was absolutely perfect for the open bar at Rob and Christi’s Boise Depot Wedding.
I absolutely loved that Rob and Christi decided to do an anniversary card guestbook. When the guests were seated each table had an anniversary card. The wedding guests at the assigned table wrote in the anniversary card. Each corresponding year, Rob and Christi will open the anniversary card from the assigned table.
From the most beautiful venue, a gorgeous dress, a veil that included buttons and lace from Christi's mom's wedding dress, sharp suit, to fun dancing at the reception, this wedding day was true to Christi and Rob.

It was so beautiful as they shared their love and commitment to one another in front of friends and family.

Christi and Rob, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for trusting me with the honor of being at your side on the most important day of your life, and the privilege of documenting it for you, your family, your friends and generations to come. You are not only two beautiful people, but you have kind hearts and sweet souls. Everyone deserves to find their “person,” the one who completes them and makes them whole –– and I couldn’t be happier that you’ve found that in each other. I am cheering for you and wish you nothing but the best as you take on your next, best adventure: life as Mr. and Mrs.
